Tenkasi Study Centre Hosts Welcome Ceremony for Bharathidasan University Students

The Tenkasi Study Centre of Bharathidasan University’s Institute of Distance and Online Education organized a welcome ceremony for first-year students at St. Joseph’s College, Veykalipatti.

Dr. Sagaya John, the college’s manager, presided over the event and delivered an inspiring address to the students. K.R.P. Ilango, founder of the Pavoorchatram Eye Donation Awareness Committee, participated as the special guest and highlighted the importance of eye and blood donation.

Dr. Suresh John Kennedy, Director of MEDI Tenkasi, addressed the students on the central and state government’s special examinations and job opportunities. Suresh Kumar, District Secretary of the Tenkasi Science Movement, spoke on the importance of overcoming superstitions and fostering critical thinking through science.

Dr. Wilson Arul Anandan, Coordinator of the Tenkasi Study Centre, welcomed the gathering. He encouraged students to excel in university examinations and highlighted the 93% pass rate achieved in the previous examinations. He emphasized that the Tenkasi Study Centre is notable for organizing welcome ceremonies and graduation events for distance education students.

Over 300 students attended the ceremony. The event was organized by the administrative director of the Tenkasi REDDY Study Centre, Thamaraichelvi, along with officials Fathima, Sangeetha, and Saranya. St. Joseph’s College Physical Education Director Sivaraja, Librarian Deepan Bhakiyaraj, Pavoorchatram Central Welfare Association President Anand, and former treasurer Paramasivam also participated. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by MBA student Murugesan.
