261 players participated in Arun Ice-creams Sub-Junior Open State Level Badminton Tournament

 

Arun Ice-creams Sub-Junior Open State Level Badminton Tournament saw winners across categories. A total of 261 players from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry participated in the tournament organised on March 11th and 12th at Hatsun Badminton Centre, Thiruthangal, Tamil Nadu.

Budding Badminton enthusiasts participated in U-11 Boys Singles, U-11 Girls Singles, U-13 Boys Singles, U-13 Girls Singles, U-13 Boys Doubles, U-13 Girls Doubles, U-15 Boys Singles, U-15 Girls Singles, U-15 Boys Doubles and U-15 Girls Doubles categories conducted through the weekend. The tournament with a total prize money of Rs 1.5 lakhs was sponsored by Arun Ice Creams.

Speaking about the tournament, Mr. Ajith Haridas, Chief Mentor, Hatsun Badminton Centre, said, it is heartening to see so much of talent across Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. The speed, techniques and the sportsmanship exhibited by the winners is applaudable. We would expect each and every one who had participated in the badminton tournament to take the sport to a better level in the coming days.
