Skoda Auto India has launched the second-generation Kodiaq SUV, positioned at the top of its product line-up. Priced from Rs.46.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the luxury 4x4 SUV is available in two variants – Sportline and Selection L&K – with bookings now open and customer deliveries beginning May 2. Assembled in India, the new Kodiaq combines city-road sophistication with off-road versatility.
The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that produces 150kW (201hp) and 320Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. Power is distributed to all four wheels via Skoda’s 4x4 system. Built on the MQB37 Evo platform, the Kodiaq offers an ARAI-rated mileage of 14.86 km/l and rides 155mm off the ground when fully loaded.
Inside, the Kodiaq features a 7-seat layout and comes in two interior themes: an all-black sporty finish for Sportline, and Cognac leather for the Selection L&K. Highlights include a 32.77-cm touchscreen infotainment unit, smart rotary dials with touch control for HVAC and audio, and a re-positioned gear selector behind the steering wheel. A rear tablet holder adds convenience for passengers.
Luxury touches include Ergo front seats with pneumatic massage, acoustic glass for cabin quietness, and a 13-speaker 725W Canton sound system. The SUV also includes nine airbags, a sliding panoramic sunroof, and rolling rear window sunblinds, reinforcing its premium positioning.
The exterior sees refreshed styling with LED Beam Crystallinium headlamps, a new welcome lighting effect, a light strip on the front grille, and a red line across the rear tail lamps. The L&K trim comes with Dark Chrome accents, while the Sportline variant gets Glossy Black details. Dimensionally, the Kodiaq measures 4,758mm in length with a 2,791mm wheelbase and offers a massive 1,976 litres of cargo capacity with both rear rows folded.
Offered in six colour options, the Kodiaq includes Bronx Gold exclusively for L&K and Steel Grey for Sportline. Skoda offers a 5-year/1.25 lakh km standard warranty, 10-year complimentary roadside assistance, and the Skoda Supercare maintenance package free for the first year.
