Goa Aces’ Raoul Hyman Delivers a Masterclass as Indian Racing Festival Kicks Off in Coimbatore

The Indian Racing Festival (IRF) 2025 commenced in style at Coimbatore’s Kari Motor Speedway. Day 1 delivered close qualifying battles and hard, clean racing on a circuit that rewarded precision and race craft. With a hint of rain in the air, every session kept the teams and drivers busy with setup and strategy.

Roul Hyman stormed through to win for Goa Aces. One of the key highlights of the day was undoubtedly Kyle Kumaran from Kichcha's Kings Bangalore, who crossed the line in 2nd place, after starting all the way down in 11th. Aqil Alibhai came in 3rd for the Chennai Turbo Riders after a steady and consistent performance from him.

Kumaran was originally supposed to have started on pole, but 2 of his lap times were deleted in the qualifying session, promoting Raoul to start on pole. Kumaran still fought hard to finish 2nd in the race. Jon Lancaster, who started the race in 2nd, was able to challenge Raoul on the opening lap, he was unable to seal the move as the Goa Aces driver dominated his way to victory. Lancaster ended up with a DNF after a technical failure in the second half of the race.
