Tamil Nadu celebrated a moment of immense pride as two of its talented young competitors-Dinesh from Virudhunagar and Mohamed Mafaz P R from Karur-brought glory to India at the prestigious WorldSkills Asia Competition 2025. Competing among the best young professionals from across Asia, Dinesh won the Bronze medal in Robot Systems Integration, while Mafaz earned the Medallion for Excellence in IT Software Solutions for Business, showcasing Tamil Nadu’s leadership in advanced engineering, automation, and emerging technology skills.
Representing India in one of the most complex categories, Dinesh demonstrated outstanding precision in robotic programming, automation architecture, system configuration, and industrial troubleshooting, excelling in time-pressured tasks that mirror real-world smart manufacturing environments. His achievement reflects the growing importance of robotics and Industry 4.0 skills in India’s industrial transformation and reinforces Tamil Nadu’s strong technical training and innovation ecosystem.
In the fast-evolving domain of digital innovation, Mafaz delivered an exceptional performance, designing real-world software applications with strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capability, and user-centric development. His ability to convert business challenges into effective software solutions earned him recognition among Asia’s top young IT professionals and demonstrated Tamil Nadu’s strength as a global talent hub for next-generation technology careers.

Dinesh and Mafaz’s journeys were enabled through the dedicated support of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), expert coaches, partner institutions, and industry collaborators who provided global-standard training and mentorship.
India’s debut participation at WorldSkills Asia 2025 concluded with an impressive medal tally: one Silver, two Bronze, and three Medallions for Excellence, reinforcing India’s emergence as a global skills powerhouse.
