A first-ever historic festival in Keezhadi: The Rise - Sangam 5 committee’s Unity Pongal Celebration



The Rise Sangam 5 – Summit of Global Tamil entrepreneurs and Professionals concluded with the celebration of World Tamil Unity Pongal in Keezhadi, Sivagangai district.

 Global Tamil entrepreneurs and Professionals summit, titled "Sangam 5" organized by The Rise, began with a grand opening ceremony on January 8th at Alanganallur, Madurai with a Jallikattu competition.

Over the last three days, the “The Rise – Sangam 5” summit held in Madurai witnessed the participation of more than 2,000 Tamil entrepreneurs from 55 countries across the world. Several special sessions were organized on various topics for the benefit of entrepreneurs. Achievers were honored with awards in recognition of their accomplishments.

On the final day of the summit, January 11 (Sunday), at 9:00 a.m., the Global Tamils Unity Pongal was celebrated in a grand manner at Keezhadi. In this traditional festival, for the first time in the history of Keezhadi, Tamils from 55 countries joyfully prepared Pongal using more than 250 Pongal pots.

Thiruvadikkudil Swamigal,Balaprajapathi Adigalar,  President of the Tamil Nadu Jamaathul Ulama Sabha, P.A. Kaja Muinudeen Bagavi, Archbishop of Madurai Antony Samy Savarimuthu, Bishop Lourdu Anandam of Sivagangai, and South Indian Church Madurai - Ramanathapuram Region Bishop Jayasingh Prince Prabhakaran joined as a chief guests

During the Pongal celebrations, global Tamil entrepreneurs enthusiastically enjoyed playing traditional Tamil games. Various competitions were conducted in an engaging and lively manner. With the Keezhadi Unity Pongal celebrations, The Rise – Sangam 5 Global summit of  Tamil Entrepreneurs and professionals came to a successful conclusion.
