TVS RACING CONTINUES TO BUILD INDIA’S NEXT GENERATION OF RACERS WITH PETRONAS TVS INDIA OMC 2026

TVS Motor Company (TVSM), a leading global automaker in the two- and three-wheeler segments, announced the PETRONAS TVS India One Make Championship (OMC) 2026 Training and Selection Program, reaffirming TVS Racing’s long-standing role as enabler of competitive racing talent in India. The nationwide selection trials will be conducted between January 17 and February 7, 2026, across Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi and Kolkata, followed by final selections at the Madras International Circuit (MIC), Chennai.

The 2026 season carries added significance as TVS Apache marks 20 years of racing-derived performance engineering, rooted in TVS Racing’s core ‘Track to Road’ philosophy. What is proven on the racetrack continues to shape not just motorcycles, but also how riders are trained, prepared and progressed through professional motorsports with a strong emphasis on on-track learning, race discipline and uncompromising safety standards.

Commenting on the new season, Vimal Sumbly, Head Business - Premium, TVS Motor Company, said, “For TVS Racing, the One Make Championship has always been about building racers, not just organising races. This platform has helped identify, train and race-prepare talent through structured on-track learning, professional racing standards and a strong safety culture. As TVS Apache marks 20 years of racing-derived performance engineering, the 2026 PETRONAS TVS India One Make Championship brings our racing DNA to life by making track racing accessible, disciplined and aspirational. This is how we continue to strengthen India’s motorsports ecosystem for the next generation of racers.”

The PETRONAS TVS India OMC is built around a track-first, safety-led training approach. Riders train and compete on race-tuned TVS Apache motorcycles, derived from TVS Racing’s four decades of motorsport experience. Safety is integral to how riders are trained and prepared across all categories, with riders equipped with high-standard racing gear including Alpinestars airbag jackets, FIM-certified helmets and FIM-spec racing suits, along with race-tuned motorcycles featuring personalised tuning to ensure optimal performance with a strong focus on rider safety.

Over the last 43 years, TVS Racing has consistently focused on building racers the right way. Since the launch of the TVS India One Make Championship in 1994, over 3,000 riders have been trained and race-prepared across categories, forming the backbone of India’s modern motorsports ecosystem.
