IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani Elected as Director of ICA Global Board in Panama


In a significant development for the international cooperative movement, IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani has been elected as a Director (At-Large Director) of the Global Board of Directors of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) at the election held in Panama.

Sanghani’s election marks an important recognition of India’s growing presence and contribution to the global cooperative movement.

Following the announcement of his election, Indian cooperative sector representatives attending the event in Panama expressed their pride and enthusiasm by raising the slogans “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram.” The patriotic chants resonated across the venue, reflecting the sense of pride among the Indian delegation.

The election was held during the General Assembly of the International Cooperative Alliance in Panama City. Sanghani’s appointment will provide India with an important platform to contribute to global discussions and initiatives concerning the cooperative sector.

Dileep Sanghani has been associated with the cooperative sector for several decades and has worked extensively for the welfare of farmers, strengthening the rural economy and promoting the development of cooperative institutions.

He currently serves as Chairman of IFFCO and the Gujarat State Cooperative Marketing Federation, while also holding key responsibilities in various national and international cooperative organisations.
