Indian Rubber Manufacturers Research Association (IRMRA), an autonomous body under the aegis of Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), celebrated it’s 65th Foundation Day during 21st to 23rd September 2023 at Chennai Trade Center, Chennai. As per the release, On the first day the Expo was Inaugurated by Vice Chairman & Managing Director - MRF Ltd, Arun Mammen, IRMRA, President Dr.R.Mukhopadhyay welcomed the dignitaries Chief Guest, Chairman, Rubco Karay Rajan and all participants. Director, Dr. K. Rajkumar gave a brief detail of all the Expo participants and welcomed all the guest to the Expo.
On the 2nd day, the Rubber Conference was inaugurated by Chief Guest IRS, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Government of India Sanjiv, Retd. IAS Sheela Thomas and JK Tyres & Industries Ltd, MD, Anshuman Singhania were the Guest of Honour. The Key Note address was given by Academic Consultant and Author and Member, Board of Governors, IIM, Raipur Dr. Utkarsh Majumdar. The theme of the Conference was “Sustainability & Circular Economy”. Both President & Director, IRMRA welcomed the dignitaries and participants in the Conference and apprised the contribution of IRMRA towards the progress of Rubber and allied industries in the country. On 3rd day Rubber Board, Chairman Dr. Sawar Dhanania was the Chief Guest and Canada Ryerson University Prof. Ravi Ravindran and Commodore Srikant were the Guest of Honour.
All the dignitaries shared their valuable inputs and experiences in various sectors relating to Rubber and allied products along with their technology updates. A total of 42 Speakers presented their Papers in various topics during the Conference and also 15 Posters were exhibited by the student community from various Engineering Colleges. All the dignitaries appreciated the Expo Stalls sponsored by Tyre, Engineering and other companies. Around 1000 industry related Delegates and Visitors participated apart from 500 academic students.
